About Zinos Books
Zinos Books (previously known as Philokalia Books) was established in 2006 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Nicholas Zinos, the proprietor, got his start at Loome Theological Booksellers in Stillwater, Minnesota under the expert tutelage of Dr. Thomas Loome. Dr. Loome himself, while pursuing graduate work and living in the United Kingdom in the 1960s, learned the book-trade from the famous "King of Hay-on-Wye", Richard Booth.
Nicholas feels privileged to have been part of this chain of prestigious booksellers and couldn't imagine himself in any better trade. Nicholas holds a B.A. and M.A. in Catholic Studies as well as a J.D., and considers this broad interdisciplinary education a great fit for the rare book trade. As with most booksellers these days, he runs his business from his home, but is always delighted when he has an opportunity to mingle with other booksellers and customers at one of the many book fairs around the world.
