Very rare first French edition of the first Bolshevik Code of Law, relating to civil status, marriage, family law, guardianship, and treatment of the insane. It contains 246 articles that were voted on on September 16, 1918 by the Central Executive Soviet Committee. The Code is preceded by a preface by Alexander Hoichbarg, Editor-in-Chief of the Legal. An unopened copy and unbound copy, as issued. The paper used for the pamphlet was of low quality, and thus the item is usually found in a deteriorated condition. In this case, the paper is browned and the front cover is nearly detached and a bit crumpled. 8vo. 40pp.

French Art Deco cover art for Paris theater productions. 10 French theatre programs, 1923-1934, each with front-cover Art Deco color illustrations. 5.5 x 7'', each with illustrated text and cover art by Vladimir Barjansky, Georges Villa, Jac.Nam et al.The cover graphics were unrelated to the productions (which included a French play of Verne’s Around the World in Eight Days)  some with set designs by the poster master-artist Paul Colin, at many different Paris venues, including the famous Theatre de la Gaite-Lyrique. A few slight creased, but overall in very good condition.
